– Synthetic bacterial engineering tools: We’re interested in developing new biological tools with the assistance of synthetic biology approaches.
– Metabolic engineering: One of the applications of the developed new tools is metabolic engineering. We engineering E. coli and Methanotrophs to produce value-added chemical compounds
– Computational Biology
– Bioinformatics: We developed bioinformatics tools and databases, for example, autoinhibited protein prediction/database, which are important in the regulation of signaling proteins.
– Drug discovery: We developed new algorithms and tools for drug discovery from target protein identification, virtual screening, drug toxicity (cardiotoxicity, AR-toxicity, etc). We also collaborate with other universities to conduct experiments in mice, specifically Alzheimer’s disease.
